The route starts in Costești and follows a fully paved road towards Sarmizegetusa Regia, gradually climbing through the spectacular landscapes of the Șureanu Mountains. As you gain elevation, the inhabited areas give way to dense forests and wooded mountain slopes, creating a peaceful and immersive cycling experience surrounded by nature.
