On Sunday, September 13, 2026, Țebea, in the commune of Baia de Criș, Hunedoara County, once again becomes a gathering place for those who wish to honour the memory of Avram Iancu and Romania’s national values.
The celebrations begin at 10:30 AM at the Pantheon of the Moți with a solemn ceremony dedicated to the national hero, including a religious service, a historical tribute, wreath-laying and a Guard of Honour parade.
From 1:30 PM, the programme continues with a major traditional folk music concert, featuring renowned performers and young emerging artists.
The line-up includes Nicolae Furdui Iancu and the “Crai Nou” Group, Sava Negrean Brudașcu, Andreea Voica, Liliana Laichici, Ionuț Fulea, Mariana Ionescu Căpitănescu, Antonela and Liviu Buțiu, Călin Brăteanu, Alina Pinca, Ovidiu Olari, Bogdan Toma and Ovidiu Homorodean.
They will be joined by young performers Larisa Cărlugea, Ștefan Țîrdea, Sorin Chivica, Alice Ghițe, Denisa Bărbat and Adriana Anghel, as well as the “Drăgan Muntean” Professional Folk Ensemble, conducted by Prof. George Cîlțea.
The event will be hosted by Iuliana Tudor.
